Body snatchers

At some point, and I'm not sure when, my boss became one of them. We used to be on the same page a lot more than we are nowadays. I understand that he must play the game, and he's planning on staying here and all that, but somewhere along the way we stopped connecting. It used to be us against them, and lately it's changed. I don't think he's threatened by me, he's been here longer and has a lot of knowledge, and in truth I've always had his back. I've often thought that if he were to leave I would not want his position, so that can't be it. It's more like he's started buying into some of this stuff that we all know is bullshit. I still like the guy, and I'm sure I'll like him better after I leave.
